Enzyme Peel £49
A specially chosen blend of actives provide gentle skin resurfacing without irritation or noticeable peeling. This professional strength enzymatic chemical peel combines with powerful anti-oxidants and amino acids to bring clarity to the complexion. A great choice for those new to peels. (45 mins)
Superficial Peels £55
Application is very similar to a traditional facial. After cleanse and skin preparation the appropriate solution is applied and neutralised. Moisturiser and SPF is applied and you will leave the clinic showing minimal signs of any treatment. Skin will gently flake over the next few days leaving your complexion brighter and refreshed. For best results I recommend a minimum of 3 peels, approximately 10-14 days apart. (40 mins)
Light Peel - A mild peel treatment for acneic and lightly wrinkled skin

Important Pre & Post Peel Information
BEFORE YOUR PEEL:
Peels will not be performed on recently resurfaced or sun exposed skin.
Please do not exfoliate or have hair removal treatments done for at least 48 hours before your peel.
Research has shown that the use of topical Vitamins A and C prior to treatment maximises the results of skin rejuvenation. Although not mandatory we do offer an optional PRE PEEL KIT of these 2 products.
AFTER YOUR PEEL:
It is imperative that you treat the skin gently for the first few days following the procedure and allow the skin to peel naturally.

- NO EXFOLIATION FOR 3 DAYS
- NO RETINOL FOR 3 DAYS
- KEEP THE SKIN HYDRATED
- USE A PHYSICAL SPF (even if cloudy!)

Type of Peeling Agent?
There is a variety of different peeling agents that can be used in chemical peels, and a number of factors which the therapist will consider when advising on treatment, for example...
- Enzymes digest superficial dead skin cells
- AHA's break bonds between dead skin cells that form at the surface of the skin, and also act as a humectant, absorbing moisture from the atmosphere
- BHA's are ideal for treating acne prone skin as they are oil-soluble and penetrate into the sebaceous gland.
pH vs. Percentage?
With the majority of acids such as TCA the depth of penetration is increased as concentration increases. However there are limitations, AHAs and BHAs can not penetrate as far as the dermis no matter how high their concentration is.
The pH however is a crucial factor, the lower the pH, the more acidic the solution and therefore it will penetrate the skin deeper and quicker.
Our skin is made up of protein, water and other minor structural chemicals. Proteins are complex chains of amino acids which are very sensitive to the level of pH surrounding them. When the skin's proteins react with an acid in a low pH, coagulation occurs; the lower the pH the stronger the acid and therefore more coagulation occurs.
